The Messy Counter Problem
Ever fought a toothpaste tube at 6 AM? Young kids and toothpaste don’t go well together – you either get a mouth full of toothpaste or a counter full of it. The morning rush left our bathroom looking like a minty warzone—until this $10 wall-mounted hero arrived (shower mounted in our case).
I wanted a solution that would help my kids use toothpaste efficiently, minimize waste, and reduce mess. After testing different options, I landed on the automatic push dispenser from Lesayaton. Here’s how it worked out for us.
Our Review
1. Design and Build Quality: ⭐⭐⭐⭐
First Impressions:
The dispenser’s minimalist white design blends seamlessly into any bathroom. We mounted ours on the shower glass (yes, it sticks!) by the sink, and it’s survived everything from toddler tantrums to steamy showers.
Material Check:
Lightweight plastic? Yes. Flimsy? Surprisingly no. After six months of use and there are no signs of cracks or loose parts.

Eco-Gripe:
The plastic isn’t recyclable, which stings for eco-conscious buyers. But the packaging? Just cardboard—no plastic foam nonsense.
Humidity Test:
Bathrooms are damp, but there has been zero warping or mold. A win for plastic in a high moisture environment.
It comes with two toothpaste dispensing slots, perfect for our boys.
PROTIP #1
Choose an accessible location
I recommend installing it at a location where the kids can access it easily, but not at a location where its likely to get knocked. Last thing you want is to have it installed and find that the little ones have trouble getting to it (you basically have one shot at installing given you have a single adhesive on the back)
2. Features You’ll Use ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Beyond dispensing toothpaste, this unit packs in some extra functionality:
- Toothbrush Slots (5 Total):
Perfect for manual brushes. But electric toothbrush users: Beware! The snug fit makes removal tricky. Our Oral-B one nearly yanked the unit off the wall. - Magnetic Cup Holders (4 Included):
Hidden at the ends, these keep cups secure and counters clutter-free. My kids treat them like a magic trick: “Look, Dad—it sticks by itself!” - Storage Slot:
A slim compartment hides floss picks or orthodontic rubber bands from tiny thieves.
I found the magnetic cup holders particularly clever—they keep cups neatly tucked away while making them easy for kids to grab. Plus, my kids had way too much fun with the “magic” magnetic attachment.
PROTIP #2
Skip electric toothbrush storage
The snug fit can make removal tricky and might tug the unit off the wall.
3. Operation: Kid-Proof(ish) ⭐⭐⭐⭐
This dispenser is designed with simplicity in mind. Just push the toothbrush in, and toothpaste is released—eliminating the need to squeeze a tube. My 3-year-old mastered this process in days (at least the pushing it in part). As for the part about applying the right pressure to get a consistent amount of toothpaste, that part took him a while longer to grasp.
It all sounds pretty great right? well, there is a catch. While your countertops will be free of toothpaste, the dispenser itself will likely get messy, especially with younger children. So be prepared to do some cleaning.

PROTIP #3
Use an Electric Toothbrush to Clean
Who would have thought that electric toothbrushes serve another function outside of keeping your teeth clean. I use a clean head (that I dedicate just for this) to scrub off any dried toothpaste within the dispenser (after removing the top off). I found this much easier than tried to scrub manually and it works wonders!
4. Cleaning and Long Term Durability ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Let’s be real—any gadget exposed to kids and toothpaste is going to need cleaning. Fortunately, this unit is designed for easy maintenance:
- The dispensing section detaches for quick cleaning.
- A simple rinse and scrub keeps it in good shape.

The dispenser solved our problem of inconsistent amounts of toothpaste (once they got into the hang of applying the right amount of pressure), uncapped toothpaste tubes and even kept our countertops clear from sticky mess. The mess still occurs, just that its contained within the dispenser.
My weekly cleaning routine goes something like this:
- Pop off the top of the dispenser.
- Rinse globs under warm water.
- Attack dried paste with an old electric toothbrush head (this is a game changer!).

Longevity Check:
After 7 months:
- Hinges still smooth.
- Buttons click like new.
- No discoloration, even with neon kids’ toothpaste.
PROTIP #4
Don’t wait for toothpaste cement
Buildup happens. Attack it weekly unless you enjoy chiseling.
5. Toothpaste Compatibility ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
The dispenser works with standard-sized tubes and has a nice fit. I didn’t need to use much force to secure it into the unit.

Gel vs. Paste: It handles both, but thicker pastes require a firmer push. Kids’ sparkly toothpaste (which is stickier) tends to leave more residue inside the dispenser.
Refill Ease: Swapping tubes takes 10 seconds—no spills! Just slide the old tube out and pop in the new one. Near-empty tubes can be tricky to position, though as they tend to warp outwards.

PROTIP #5
Dispensing To Electric Toothbrush
The dispensing mechanism is designed for normal length toothbrush heads, so toothpaste won’t land on the head of electric toothbrush with small round heads. Don’t get me wrong, I still works, just don’t expect to see a nice blob at the tip.
6. Installation ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Installation is as easy as peeling off the adhesive backing and pressing it onto the wall. However, once it’s on, it’s on—there’s no do-over. So choose your spot carefully before committing.

So far, it has held up well, but I recommend placing it on a clean, dry surface for the best adhesion.
The entire unit can actually detach from the base that is stuck to your surface of choice. However, I found that only the dispensing area gets dirty so you won’t be needing to remove the entire unit from the bracket very often.

Conclusion
After 5 months of daily use, I can confidently say this dispenser has made our bathroom routine smoother. While it requires occasional cleaning, the benefits far outweigh the minor maintenance.
Pros:
✔ Mess-free dispensing
✔ Easy for kids to use
✔ Saves counter space
✔ Reduces toothpaste waste
✔ No more uncapped toothpaste tubes
Cons:
✘ Needs routine cleaning
✘ Requires some getting use to in order to get a consistent amount of toothpaste
✘ Adhesive placement is basically permanent (choose wisely!)
For families looking for a simple, affordable upgrade to their bathroom, an automatic push dispenser is definitely worth considering. It has been a win for us, making morning and bedtime routines more efficient for both kids and adults.
